I demonstrated initiative by wanting to have this badge on my resume because this work-study position and what I have learned from it has been an important part of my college experience. I plan to continue my engagement of sustainability efforts by continuing what I’m already doing, encourage others to do the same, and share sustainable advice on social media.

I attained my learning goals of being a more sustainable person and informing the community on what is happening on our campus regarding sustainability by being aware of all the activities happening on campus in different clubs and promoting this to the UNE community via social media and our blog. I attended events that taught me a lot about climate change and how to be environmentally responsible.

Checking out some sustainable products at the Portland Food CO-OP where my cousin Emily is the produce manager. Here I am demonstrating how to buy liquid soap in bulk with a mason jar.
Pictured in my cart are recycled paper towels and napkins, a metal tongue cleaner, peanut butter I churned myself, a yam in compostable bags, and some locally made gluten-free bread.
